William Earns Rank of Eagle Scout

I earned the Rank of Eagle Scout June 10, 2014 and celebrated my Eagle Scout Court of Honor January 10, 2016 with my best friend and fellow Eagle Scout, Thomas Mather.

I delayed my ceremony to wait for Thomas, because I wanted to celebrate this achievement with him. We’ve been best friends since First Grade and were Tiger Cubs together.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling has helped me to prioritize the tasks I need to achieve my goals. Because of homeschooling,

I am able to plan and complete tasks better. I have the time I need to think things through thoroughly and logically.

What are your interests?

Biking, skateboarding, videography, car repair and maintenance, stage lighting, and sound.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I like to follow in my Dad’s footsteps and be a professional stagehand or a mechanical engineer, like my Grandfather.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

I like History, Spanish and Religion. I like history because I like knowing about the people that came before us.

I like Spanish, because I like being able to talk to Spanish-speaking people in their own language. I like learning about the different Hispanic cultures, customs and history as well.

I like Religion classes, because I love God and want to know more about our ancient history as Catholics. I have also learned to understand what scripture means.
