My parents require us to participate in the local spelling bee each year so that we get more comfortable speaking in front of a group. My sister, Kimberly, went to the National Spelling Bee in 2003 & 2005, so that was an inspiration to me. I heard about all the wonderful things to see in DC, especially the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, so I really tried to do my best.

I would love to know if any other Seton students will be at the national Spelling Bee!

What organization recognized the achievement?

The Scripps National Spelling Bee association

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

I was able to get some of my scoolwork done early, and save some other work for a few days later, so that I could study more the week before the Bee. My sister, Kimberly, went to the National Spelling Bee in 2003 & 2005, so that was an inspiration to me.

What are your interests?

I like snowmobiling in the mountains with my family, playing board games, playing the violin, and reading.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I think about religious life, but for now my goal is to do well in high school so I can go to Franciscan University in Steubenville like my four older siblings.

What are your favorite subjects?

I like History and Reading best.
