Kira Wins State Archery Contest!

Kira Wins State Archery Contest!

On July 16-17, 2016, I participated in the Northwest Outdoor Sectionals and Alaska State Field tournament which was hosted in Alaska.

I competed against archers in my class and division from the six northwest states in the country, and I won both the State title and the NW Sectional title in Youth Female Compound Freestyle!

What organization recognized the achievement?

National Field Archery Association (NFAA) and Alaska State Archery Association (ASAA) both recognized my achievement at the NW Sectionals and State Field Tournament.

How did homeschooling help you achieve your goal?

Homeschooling with Seton allowed me to have a flexible schedule so I could hone my shooting skills by shooting indoors/outdoors regularly for long periods of time during the day.

What are your interests?

I love archery, reading, and all things owls.

What are you inspired to do with your life?

I am inspired to become a world champion archer…and, of course, become a Saint.

What are your favorite subjects and why?

Reading is a favorite subject of mine because I enjoy reading different genres, especially the classics.

I also enjoy History because I love learning about events of the past and how history impacts our future. Science is another favorite of mine because I enjoy doing experiments.
