Summary
Transitioning to college from a homeschooling environment could have been daunting, but Walsh made it seamless.I chose Walsh University because I wanted more than a degree. I wanted an authentic Catholic education—one that would prepare me professionally while helping me grow closer to Christ. From the start, Walsh offered both.
The university gave me the tools to pursue my career goals while grounding my growth in faith, service, and ethical leadership.

The mission of forming service leaders shaped everything I did at Walsh. Professors encouraged me to think critically and ethically, pushing me to consider not only what was effective, but what was right.
Building Relationships
As an Honors Program student, I had opportunities to serve others, particularly through volunteer work addressing community needs and poverty. These experiences taught me that leadership is about responsibility, compassion, and making a positive impact, not personal recognition.

Transitioning to college from a homeschooling environment could have been daunting, but Walsh made it seamless. I quickly realized I wasn’t just meeting classmates or teammates; instead, I was building relationships that felt like family.
Through campus ministry, athletics, and shared experiences beyond the classroom, I formed bonds rooted in faith, trust, and mutual support, which became a source of encouragement throughout my journey.
I studied Digital Marketing and Analytics because it combined my interests in business strategy, data analysis, and relationship-building.
Captain and Chaplain
Serving as captain and chaplain of the men’s lacrosse team allowed me to grow as a leader both on and off the field, and Walsh provided me with the resources to lead my team in Bible studies and prayer opportunities. Campus ministry strengthened my faith through prayer, retreats, Holy Hours, and service at Mass.
Hands-on learning, including my internship with a marketing firm and my Honors thesis research, prepared me for life after graduation. I was honored to represent Walsh through athletics, academics, and spiritual leadership, serving as an ambassador of the university’s values across campus.
A Catholic Foundation

I would be remiss if I did not highlight the significant role the Seton Home Study program played in preparing me for Walsh. Seton’s rigorous academic structure taught me discipline, strong study habits, and personal accountability, all of which translated seamlessly into college coursework.
Equally important was Seton’s Catholic foundation, which grounded my education in prayer, moral reasoning, and a Christ-centered worldview. This foundation gave me the confidence to fully embrace Walsh’s environment, where intellectual growth and faith were intentionally connected.
The knowledge and education I gained at Seton were further enhanced when I attended Walsh, where it worked hand in hand to shape me academically, spiritually, and personally. To both Seton Home Study and Walsh University, I will always be grateful.
