Jesus said, “Whoever obeys Me, he is the one who loves Me.” (Jn 14:21). According to Our Lord, obedience to the Word of God, more than anything else, is how we show our love for Him.
Is there an area in your life where you are having a tremendous struggle when it comes to obedience to the Word of God? Intellectually, you know what the Word of God teaches, and you know what the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, but when it comes to actually putting certain teachings into practice in your life, you struggle, stumble, and fall.
What are those areas? What exactly are the reasons for your difficulty in lining those areas of your lives up with the Word of God?
Remember, when writing in your journal, you must be brutally honest with yourself. Watering down one’s words defeats the entire purpose of journal writing.
